If you don’t know our featured artist, Esme Auten Carter, she’s a color genius and always knows the latest and greatest in interior design paint trends. Esme is also brilliant with colors on the canvas as you can see below from her beautiful artwork below.

When we asked Esme about her medium and technique she told us, “I paint in artists’ acrylics. I enjoy taking advantage of the natural characteristics of the medium and so make my paintings gestural and layered. While my subject matter is varied, I tend to come back to painting landscapes. My paintings are a cumulative result of my love for travel and for color. They are painted from photographs taken in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and South Carolina. I use the landscape concept as a means to convey color combinations: some beloved and others experimental. My hope is that they are found to be exuberant and visually enticing.”
